Raised in Minden, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana Tech. She had a fulfilling career as a teacher for many years in several states before moving with her husband, who at the time was a Captain in the Air Force to Ankara, Turkey where she taught the children of the base. In 1995 she and her husband were fortunate to call Virginia home. She and her husband have been blessed with seven children on their 188-Acres farm in Spotsylvania. They have horses, chickens and here recently have followed their dream to have a Successful Vineyard, Winery and Brewery on their farm.
