About Alexander Piela
I began my career in broadcasting in 1980. Began working as a traffic reporter in 1996 in the Ocean City area. People still say they remember "Alexander Piela in the TRAFFAX Command Center!" In 1997, I purchased a beach property and began renting it in the summer months. I gained a ton of experience in the ways of housing and real estate in the Ocean City area.
In 2000 my radio career took me to Washington, DC. I have done traffic on the major stations, including WTOP and WUSA-TV Channel 9. They even let me go up in a helicopter!
I was married in 2003, and eventually brought my wife and children back to Ocean City. I am quite familiar with owning a property at the beach and living out of town. Very familiar with managing and renting the property as well. If you're a buyer, let me say, I was you once. It can be very intimidating investing so much on a house and being far away for so much of the year. Or if you are planning on living here full time, as you have read, my family made that transition. I was you once.
